Michelle Pearson is a natural communicator and believes that our ability to relate to others effectively is a most desirable life skill. To that end, she trained at the University of Calgary in Theatre Arts (BFA), a study in human behaviours, and at SAIT in the Broadcast News division of the Cinema, Television, Stage and Radio program, all of which showcase communications arts. She developed and ran her own very successful company for over eight years which comprised over 450 full time clients (maintaining a dedicated full-time staff, which is unique in the talent agent business). After selling it she moved on to projects that offered more growth. In her formative years, Michelle was often labeled "jack of all trades, master of none". But out of such chaos comes clarity. Knowing a little about a lot helps Michelle understand more about people's choices and passions. Michelle aids in teaching communications, with standardized patients, to students at the University of Calgary in the Faculties of Medicine and Vet Medicine; similarly she trains for the Medical Council of Canada, and the Alberta International Medical Graduate program. She is an Interpersonal Communications coach with many private sales and public speaking clients; and has recently launched two new companies: Perspectives3, which offers skills workshops dedicated to providing three professional perspectives on any one discipline. And Wunjo IS – the culmination of her last few year's work. Currently, Michelle is earning her Master of Arts in Professional Communications -- she is looking forward to being able to say at least master of one.
My consulting objective is to focus on Awareness and Authenticity. Find the truth in every moment. .
After thirteen years as a broadcaster in Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Calgary, Pat Pearson joined the staff in the Cinema Television Stage and Radio Program (CTSR) at SAIT in 1975 where he taught radio, news presentation and speech for 20 years. After an additional 8 years in administration in various roles from student liaison through coordinator of several programs and finally instigating the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Program, Pat retired from SAIT only to be called back as Interim Dean of the Centre for Academic Learner Services (CALS) in 2005 followed by another stint as Director of the Centre for Technical and Instructional Development (CITD). It was during that final placement that Pat became a Master Facilitator and continues to facilitate at SAIT on a “as needed” basis. Pat also continues to work as a Standardized Patient for the Medical Program and the Veterinary Medicine Program at U of C.
